NEW TRUSTEES APPOINTED

TWO NEW TRUSTEES APPOINTED

Following a robust recruitment and selection process, two new appointments have been made to the Friends’ Trustee Board: Rob Mason and Steven McGunigel.

Selection from an impressive list of candidates was driven by the desire to appoint new trustees who would complement the existing Trustees’ experience, knowledge and skills.

Rob Mason spent 18 years with London Transport, latterly as the Underground’s Director of Stations and Trains. He moved to Australia in 2005, initially working for RailCorp, managing passenger train operations throughout New South Wales. Rob took over as CEO of NSW’s regional passenger railway operations in 2013. He retired from full–time employment in 2017, undertaking consultancy work for Australian rail authorities. Rob also served as Chair of Transport Heritage NSW, overseeing a variety of heritage and restoration projects.

Steve McGunigal has a background in commercial positions with major retailers and has worked most recently within the film and TV industry in a number of partnership roles. He has a focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Corporate Social Responsibility; and Change and Transformation, as well as Internal Communications. Steve is a lifelong transport enthusiast, regular London Transport user and passionate member of LTM Friends and other transport societies.
