LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The Friends have funded a new library management system for the Museum’s extensive Library.

After three years' development, including the hiatus for Covid, the new Library catalogue was launched to the world just before Christmas 2022. Anyone can now explore the collection by visiting the Library page (ltmuseum.co.uk/collections/library) on the main Museum website and clicking the pink ‘Search our catalogue’ button. Or you can go straight to the Portal at this address: library.ltmuseum.co.uk

Caroline Warhurst, the Museum’s Information Services Manager, said:

“We cannot thank the Friends enough for enabling this momentous change in how we manage the Museum’s Library collection and how we share information about it with people around the world. We hope readers of Friends News will enjoy finding out about the wonderful material we hold. Although many publications will no doubt be familiar to you, we are confident everyone will discover something new or surprising in our book or journal collection, or among the many documents, articles, Q&As and Events. Not forgetting as well the unique Reinohl ticket and ephemera special collection, part of which is now searchable online for the first time.”
