This unique, 24 page, Commemorative Brochure is published by The Sherlock Holmes Society of London with a Foreword by Sir Peter Hendy, CBE.
The brochure details the events of Sunday 29th April 2018 when 20227 was given the prestige of being named "Sherlock Holmes" and to carry the number 8 in commemoration of the Metropolitan Railway electric locomotive of the same name which was withdrawn in September 1961 and scrapped in 1962. This diesel locomotive belongs to the Class 20 Locomotive Society who are based at the Midland Railway, Butterley.
